Every morning I walk by a giant old Sycamore tree that is full of red leaves and I cannot help but smile as I do. For some reason that tree reminds me to take a deep breath and enjoy my day. Something about this short season of Fall is so magical that it could cause such interruption in my daily routine. I say that sweet interruption calls for a daily celebration…
This is one of the ways that I love to celebrate Fall…
Step One: Make bacon (appropriate for celebrating all seasons).
Step Two: Have Apple Butter on hand (such as my 5 minute prep Slow Cooker Apple Butter).
Step Three: Grab a couple slices of my sandwich bread and some leftover shredded chicken.
Step Four: Make a Bacon, Apple Butter, and Chicken Sandwich
and savor all of those delicious Fall flavors…
Enjoy 🙂
Prep: 5 minutes Serves: 2
Ingredients:
4-6 tbsp Apple Butter
4 slices cooked bacon
4 slices sandwich bread (optional to toast)
1 cup shredded and cooked chicken
Sea salt to taste
Optional additions:
Caramelized onions
Gouda cheese
Directions:
1. Divide the apple butter between two of the slices of bread.
2. Divide the bacon, chicken, and any other toppings between the two slices.
3. Top off each with the remaining slices of bread.
4. Devour 🙂
This looks absolutely delicious and is definitely on my list to make!
I need this!
I love this idea! Do you make your own paleo bread?
