So far, I have had a wonderful time celebrating this beautiful season. I have loved going to all of the Christmas gatherings and spending time with friends and family.
Through these gatherings, the Lord has greatly encouraged my heart with the sweet community He has placed around us.
And of course, with these gatherings comes food!- So I’ve also certainly gotten to have some fun in the kitchen making new Holiday recipes and old favorites.
I want to share with you a few of the items I’ve tried that are easy (AND FUN) to make. These recipes will most likely become tradition for the Coatney residence.
First on the list are Against All Grain’s Cut Out Sugar Cookies
I had a blast making these! If you don’t have cookie cutters- use a knife or a toothpick to makes shapes. Or grab a cup and make circles! If you have clean stamps you can also press shapes into your cookie dough.
Instead of a traditional sugar cookie icing I opted for chocolate ganache- super quick and always delish! I used Enjoy Life chocolate chips and coconut milk to make this ganache- about a cup to a cup and 1/2 of chips with about 1/4 to 1/3 cup of the milk. Using a double-boiler I whisked the chips and milk together until it was all melted and silky- you can drizzle, pour, dip- whatever you prefer!
Next on the list is “Corn” Dog Bites by Gluten Free Fix.
So cute I know! 🙂 If you’re looking for a good, healthy hot dog- Applegate has Organic Grass-fed Beef hot dogs. Super tasty.
Alongside these little cuties I love to serve ketchup, mustard, and BBQ sauce! I’m sure relish or dill pickles would be great additions as well.
Finally: Detoxinista’s Ginger Cookies. These cookies are delicious- the almond butter in them helps create this wonderful chewy inside, with a nice crust on the outside.
Enjoy! 🙂
